New WODE update adds game ripping feature

New WODE Jukebox update adds game ripping feature.

The long awaited game ripping feature for WODE will finally be added in the latest WODE software update.
This is one of the most anticipated features for the WODE as it means there is no longer any need to install the homebrew channel on the Wii.
The drawback with installing the homebrew channel is that it can be easily disabled or deleted by a wii system update.
Because the WODE software works independantly to the Wii system software, there is no known way for the Wii to disable WODE software.

Important update features:
* Supports ripping full .iso or wbfs (wbfs only rips files and leaves out encrypted space. This takes up less space on the hard drive or usb stick.)

* First release will only support FAT and EXT3FS partitions. WBFS will come later.

* Game .iso files can be split into smaller 2 or 4gb files. If placed in the same directory and named correctly ( game.iso, game.is1, etc) the Wode will find these files automatically. FAT partitions only support up to 2gb files, so this feature is necessary, but also useful if wanting to transfer files via usb flashstick or SD card.
* Support for ripping of BCA protection data. Just choose it in the disc ripping options and Wode will handle the rest.
* New ripping option added to Wode LCD Menu.

There is also a new Wode Menu channel that can be added to the Wii. This is still in Beta but looks very cool.

Wode Jukebox finally in stock!

Wode Jukebox finally in stock!

The Wode Jukebox has arrived at last.
All pre-orders have been shipped or are shipping today.
Be on of the first to own the world's most advanced Wii Modchip.

What is it?
WODE is an optical drive emulator and solderless modchip rolled into one.
It is also much more than that.
It can run homebrew type applications without the need to install the homebrew channel on your Wii.
This means that it can never be blocked by nintendo updates!
The WODE comes in two parts.
The first part goes inside your Wii, just like traditional solderless modchips and attaches to the dvd drive board.
The second part is an external base/docking station for you Wii. Built into this is a slave pcb with and lcd screen, usb and sd connections.
The WODE runs on a flexible and powerful Linux kernel, allowing the possibility for hundreds of exciting new applications.
The possibilities are endless.
With the WODE Jukebox, you are turning your wii into a true multimedia....

Adds wrap top and bottom of game lists

Adds Display filename without extension setting

Adds /wbfs directory search (better USB loader compatibility)

Fixes NSMB .wbfs patched with BCA data

Includes FPGA V1.20

The Wode Jukebox team are releasing updates regularly adding to a list of already impressive features.
You can download the latest WODE Jukebox firmware here

Updating the Wode firmware couldn't be simpler...
Just download the Wode firmware update and copy it to an SD card formatted with the FAT filesystem.
Insert the SD card into Wode and power on.
Wode will then display the message "Wode Updating".
The update process can take several minutes, when the update is complete Wode will reboot.
The SD card can then be removed.
